This thriller follows a familiar formula and unfolds exactly as you’d expect, resembling countless other home-invasion movies. The acting is unremarkable, even from Bruce Willis, who appears in what marks his twelfth direct-to-video film for Grindstone Entertainment—and arguably his weakest performance yet. It's not offensively bad, and I don't dislike a straightforward thriller, but the movie felt sluggish and the characters behaved foolishly. Strangely, it seems like the filmmakers tried to elicit some understanding of the antagonists, including one who callously murdered two women. According to reports, Bruce Willis receives around $1 million daily for these films, without any requirement to promote them. That sounds pretty good. While not terrible—I’ve definitely seen worse—this film is typical of Grindstone's output: technically proficient and featuring a cast with some experience, like Chad Michael Murray, who has appeared in recent "Sniper" direct-to-video movies.
