It's true that every situation has multiple perspectives. Unfortunately, Superpower presents a decidedly pro-Ukrainian perspective on the conflict with Russia. In my judgment, it doesn’t offer a fair assessment of the reasons behind the conflict, accountability for what happened, and potential future outcomes. There are some worthwhile interviews included; they become more significant when considered beyond the limited scope of this film. The documentary avoids addressing important issues like the Minsk agreement, Ukraine's attacks on regions previously controlled by separatists, and the fact that Ukraine possessed one of Europe’s largest militaries before the war began (so it wasn’t an entirely disadvantaged party). Ultimately, because of its lack of impartiality, I find it difficult not to see this as, essentially, propaganda.
