It’s a Superman versus Lex Luthor film, with Lex determined to see Superman gone, and James Gunn delivers an enjoyable, frequently funny, and thrilling take on the character—something that was definitely needed following several overly solemn installments in the DC universe. Skipping the familiar origin story and starting with Kent and Lois already together felt like a welcome choice; it’s been covered repeatedly. The plot is interesting, the actors were perfectly chosen, the characters are entertaining, and the action sequences are excellent. It was thoroughly enjoyable -- DrNostromo.com
