It's disappointing to see such a lackluster movie version of one of DC Comics’ strongest storylines. The initial Superman tale this film draws from is remarkably well-crafted, which allows it to be passable simply due to its connection to that quality, but even so, the adaptation feels very underwhelming when viewed against the original story and on its own merits. It's just an average experience featuring the iconic character. _Final rating:★★½ - Had a lot that appealed to me, didn’t quite work as a whole._
