This second installment is a well-developed story, but it doesn’t prove to be any more fun than the initial film—I found them equally enjoyable. Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder are just as appealing as they were previously, although Gene Hackman's performance isn't quite as striking this time around; he’s still good, though. It was nice to have a greater focus on Zod, Ursa, and Non, primarily so I could see more of Terence Stamp, whom I mostly know from his later work—he is excellent in 2011's *The Adjustment Bureau*. Sarah Douglas and Jack O’Halloran, playing the other roles, are perfectly acceptable. It’s a completely satisfactory sequel; you really can’t expect anything beyond that.
