This movie turned out to be quite enjoyable. I picked it hoping for something appropriate for myself and older children, and honestly, it felt like a risk. Fortunately, I found it surprisingly good. It’s geared toward viewers aged ten and up, but there were plenty of humorous moments that I appreciated as well. The film essentially lived up to its description as a family comedy. I've always enjoyed Melissa McCarthy’s performances, and I’ve come around to liking James Corden too. It has elements of a romantic comedy, though the story also includes the possibility of worldwide destruction to please everyone involved. It was diverting, amusing, and genuinely funny at times.
