Stories about conflicts occurring inside of countries, within groups of people, and even among families are inherently compelling. Films simply wouldn’t exist if they weren’t worthwhile subjects, and this one proved to be quite good and dealt with a significant historical event. A century has passed, and the world is considerably different now—hopefully for the better. It feels like after countless years, women have finally achieved freedom. I believed I was familiar with this narrative, but it reminded me of 'Made in Dagenham,' which shares some similarities as it’s also based on true events. The two stories unfold fifty years apart, yet this one marked the start of a new period for women, though not without hardship and pain. The performances were excellent, the storytelling was superb, the cinematography outstanding, the direction impressive, and the music enjoyable. However, some scenes felt overly harsh and brutal. I had always considered terrorism to be a modern concept, but this film offers an alternative viewpoint and definition of it. If you value women's rights, you’ll likely appreciate this film; it features an all-female cast, including the director, and appeals to everyone. While it originated in the UK, its impact extended across the globe, and sadly, these struggles continue in certain regions today. I can’t think of a reason not to suggest that you watch it. 8/10
