A killer is stalking and murdering teenagers connected to a high school located in southeast Texas, often while they are sexually active. "Student Bodies" (1981) aims to poke fun at slasher movies such as “Halloween” and “Friday the 13th,” setting its story within a high school environment that includes babysitters receiving odd phone calls, memorial services, lessons, instructors, athletic contests, processions, dances, and other typical events. Initially, it’s entertaining with some silly humor, but later on there's an excess of bad taste that becomes simply unpleasant or causes you to shake your head rather than elicit laughter. Despite this, the movie has moments that might be enjoyable if you are looking for a fairly diverting, disposable film. The runtime is 1 hour and 26 minutes, and filming took place in Katy, Texas, which is located just outside of Houston. GRADE: C-/C
