This film was terrible; the performances felt very unrefined, and the plot itself was shockingly bad. The script seemed carelessly put together, and it lacked any consistent feel. It’s also worth pointing out that the cast appears to be entirely Black, which feels significant given the year is 2025—I'm wondering if Hollywood isn't upholding its stated commitment to diversity. It gives me pause. Furthermore, I struggle with wanting to back this movie because of Tyler Perry’s directing role; he has a well-known history of sexual assault and harassment allegations. A friend of mine who is an actress living in Los Angeles told me that he will likely face trial soon, similar to Diddy's situation. Apparently, his behavior is widely known within the industry 🤦🏻‍♀️
