The film presents a straightforward, though unremarkable, story centered on a handsome young man named Franck who spends time in a gay meeting spot by a lake and develops feelings for someone he meets there. Simultaneously, a former partner of this new acquaintance turns up dead, having drowned. The narrative’s intrigue comes from the fact that both the audience and Franck are aware of what transpired, yet he actively avoids assisting the authorities, placing himself and those around him in danger. It's unclear whether his actions stem from intense attraction or a lack of concern, or perhaps a combination of both. This is an unusual and emotionally barren movie experience. The most generous interpretation portrays this cruising community as uncaring about the crime; however, it could also be viewed as displaying a chilling detachment and a degree of inhumanity that's truly disturbing.
