I was genuinely impressed! Before seeing 'Strange World', I hadn’t really paid much attention to it, only catching glimpses of the promotional images online a few times. Those quick looks at the characters and the general lack of discussion surrounding the film led me to have fairly modest hopes going in. Fortunately, what unfolded over its 102-minute length was quite satisfying. I do believe the character development and voice acting could have been better, but they were still well done. The animation style didn't immediately grab me, although I quickly grew to appreciate it; the setting feels vibrant. The plot held my attention throughout, and everything presented felt enjoyable. It certainly had potential for even more, but I still found it entertaining. I felt a surprising amount of sadness for Splat during that scene with the fire—it’s remarkable how they can get you invested in minor characters. My sympathies to the little blue guy; Morph remains a favorite.
