It was enjoyable to watch. *Sting* delivered on my expectations, even if I wasn’t completely gripped throughout. It's a nicely made horror film; I tend to favor stories that focus on unsettling the characters rather than relying on predictable jump scares for the viewers. The filmmakers also made a smart choice with the approximately 90-minute length. The performances are strong points. Alyla Browne is quite good, and Ryan Corr does well too. Penelope Mitchell and Jermaine Fowler offer solid support. I wasn’t as impressed by Robyn Nevin's portrayal of Gunter. Separately, the spider effects work effectively; it was interesting to see how its appearance evolves. I think a bit more could have been done with the deaths, but what we got was enough for me.
