Sting functions as an adequate, fairly conventional horror movie. It presents a disturbing reimagining of Charlotte's Web and delivers a truly unnerving horror experience. The familiar setting of a financially strained, suburban home—complete with everyday problems—is jarringly juxtaposed with the presence of an otherworldly, eight-legged threat. The film is straightforward but executed effectively. It begins modestly, almost literally so, then expands, slowly increasing both the intensity and breadth of its scares, which are largely sudden shocks. This probably isn’t a good choice for those easily frightened. Overall, it's an enjoyable horror film with unsettling themes that most viewers will likely find disturbing. I would recommend checking it out.
