The film isn't rushed as Damon portrays a likable central figure, and the young actress is charming. One becomes familiar with Marseille through the story, gaining insight into present-day societal concerns, particularly those related to immigration. The movie draws inspiration from the Amanda Knox case, which unfolded between November 2007 and October 2011 concerning Meredith Kercher’s murder in Perugia, Italy, along with Amanda's ultimate exoneration and Raffaele Sollecito's as well. A significant alteration is that the individuals involved aren't lesbians, and Kercher was not of Arab heritage but a Caucasian woman from London—these details were modified for the film. This change prompted Amanda Knox to publicly criticize the movie for capitalizing on her unjust conviction and fabricating events. To fully enjoy the motion picture, it’s important to consider it independently from Knox's actual experiences and appreciate it as its own creation. That’s what I did. The runtime is 2 hours and 19 minutes; filming occurred in Oklahoma and Marseilles. GRADE: B
