It’s not a good film; I doubt I’ll revisit it and can’t suggest it to anyone. This feels like one of those productions from the smaller studios under Disney’s umbrella that gets labeled with the “Disney” name, but isn't actually part of "Disney Studios" or benefiting from their usual resources. It wouldn’t be so disappointing if the script or performances had been strong. Courtnee Draper gave a reasonably good performance, and I honestly couldn’t say whether Tamara Hope was portraying an unpleasant character effectively or simply delivering a poor acting job. Most of the other portrayals are somewhere in that same range. Despite what "The Secret World of Alex Mack" demonstrated, this movie reinforces my belief that combining teenage social issues with stories about alien invasions is generally not a successful combination. There are countless better options available, so it’s best to skip this one entirely.
