When I was a child and "Star Wars" first became available in countries behind the Iron Curtain, there simply wasn't anything else like it to measure it against. It’s now clear that the film’s success resulted from the skill of the visual effects artists and the connection between the young performers, which transformed Lucas’s initial work into a beloved movie classic. Although the 1977 production shows its age today, the rest of the story remains strong due to the creativity and effort put in by the people involved at that time.
