It's a really enjoyable film with plenty of amusing callbacks to the past and lots of humor, though it’s not without its flaws. **Spoiler alert!!** The storyline felt like a direct duplicate of the fourth installment, which was more disappointing than I expected. While there were new faces and some intriguing puzzles, the overall plot mirrored that earlier film too closely; thankfully, they did destroy the republic so we won't have to deal with tedious paperwork anymore. Another thing that really stood out for me—and this isn’t about the character—is Kylo Ren, specifically the actor portraying him. It seemed like they cast someone who just wasn't intimidating enough. I don't mean to offend Adam Driver, but villains should project a sense of power, and removing his helmet completely undermined any chance he had of appearing menacing. Overall, it’s still a film worth seeing, even with these smaller issues.
