It’s a decent film; I would happily watch it again and feel comfortable suggesting it, particularly for those who are serious fans of “Star Trek.” I suppose my enjoyment comes down to simply appreciating the existence of these films as extensions of “Star Trek: The Next Generation." While I found it enjoyable, I can certainly see why others might not connect with it. The central idea is a bit strange, but seeing more about the Romulan Empire and their social structure proved somewhat engaging in its own right. However, this does raise questions—like, for instance, how a privileged class would have access to the resources needed to build such a formidable warship. The film also highlights Data’s importance, emphasizing that he's not easily replicated or created. It isn’t among the strongest entries in the series, but it was enjoyable getting more of “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”
