To be straightforward, I intensely disliked Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Seriously, I found it awful, and that’s coming from someone who loves Star Trek... ...which makes my feelings about Generations similar, really. It just doesn't do right by either the original cast or those from Next Generation, does it? Kirk being in the film was a mistake; so was including the initial Enterprise team. The whole thing felt like it took away what should have been a proper introduction for the TNG crew on film while also showing disrespect to the original series’ characters.
