This is a genuinely good Star Trek film, full of suspense. I watched it previously, and it remains impressive, as do the visual effects, which were pretty good considering when it was made. Being the first full-length motion picture based on *The Next Generation*, it successfully feels like an actual movie rather than just a story split into two parts, something that wasn’t true of *Generations*. It gets a 4.0 out of 5 from me.
