This is a truly remarkable spy movie, reimagined in a fresh way. I’ve been familiar with Melissa McCarthy since her work on ‘Gilmore Girls’, but I never imagined she'd achieve this level of success, particularly shining so brightly alongside such prominent actors in a high-caliber action film. She consistently ranks among my favorite performers; even her lesser-known movie 'Tammy' brought me considerable enjoyment. It’s a fascinating shift to see action stars embracing comedic roles and comedians stepping into action—and it genuinely works incredibly well. It surpasses other attempts at comedy spy movies like ‘The Pink Panther’ or ‘Johnny English’. The director, previously known for ‘The Heat’, has delivered another excellent film centered around female characters. Jude Law was reliably good, but Jason Statham's small role was surprisingly fantastic. I laughed a lot, genuine, unrestrained laughter that I hadn’t experienced in some time. The unicorn joke sticks with me, and it still makes me chuckle. And the rooftop bike chase, the gadgets…I always appreciate Melissa McCarthy's comedic timing and her films are enjoyable for precisely that reason. I understand they utilized stunt doubles and visual effects during key action scenes to enhance the final product. Nevertheless, she performed exceptionally well in all of the physically demanding sequences. Apparently, according to some behind-the-scenes information, after each day of filming, she appeared as though she’d taken a tumble down an elevator shaft. Her dedication clearly resulted in a great outcome. Given its adult humor, it's really geared toward mature audiences and older teenagers. I would be quite let down if they didn't create a sequel; and if they do, I sincerely hope the entire cast returns, especially Statham and the lead actress. I’m eagerly anticipating their third project together, ‘Ghostbusters’. 7½/10
