Two initially awkward young men manage to experience Spring Break for the first time, only to discover that two popular guys from Brooklyn are sharing their hotel room. An unlikely friendship develops as they enjoy their vacation, but things take a turn when Nelson’s political father arrives with some intimidating associates and threatens to disrupt the festivities. "Spring Break” (1983) delivers the expected party scenes associated with the holiday, though it avoids being quite as explicit as later films like “American Pie.” It functions well as a depiction of what Spring Break was like in the early 1980s—specifically, 1982, when filming occurred. The storyline about the politician’s father and his enforcers felt added to extend the movie's length, but it provides some amusement and unites the people of Fort Lauderdale against a shared threat. Blonde Jayne Modean (as Susie) and brunette Corinne Wahl (the band’s vocalist) lead the female cast alongside numerous attractive women. However, blonde Tammy Lynn Leppert stands out in a small role without credit as one of the boxing match participants—she's fighting a man. She disappeared shortly after the film was released and has never resurfaced. There are suspicions surrounding her disappearance, as documented in her story featured in the first episode of the fifth season of *Unsolved Mysteries*. At least one website suggested that the actor who played Stu (who resembles David Hasselhoff) might be involved. I’m not suggesting it's a fact, naturally, but it is something to think about. The possibility can no longer be explored since he passed away from cancer in late 2007 at age 51, unless someone with reliable information comes forward. Ultimately, the truth will eventually surface through divine justice. The film’s length is 1 hour and 42 minutes, and it was filmed in Fort Lauderdale, which is located 30 miles north of Miami.
