I didn’t anticipate much from Spiderhead given the varied opinions surrounding it, but I ended up being quite surprised. The premise is genuinely captivating and unsettling; there were moments where I reacted audibly to what was happening to the prisoners onscreen. Although I do concede that the final section isn't as strong, I still thought it was worthwhile watching. The performances are excellent across the board. Chris Hemsworth delivers a fantastic portrayal of the "villain," managing to convey the impression that his actions stem from good intentions. It’s refreshing to see him in the role of a somewhat unhinged scientist, which is a departure from the comedic characters he's become known for through the Marvel films. Wyatt Russell and Jurnee Smollett also do very well; they have scenes filled with intense emotion that resonate with viewers. The movie begins powerfully but gradually loses momentum as it progresses, though not to a degree that seriously detracts from the final result. Verdict: _Good_
