The performances are solid, and the production quality is hard to deny. Filming took place in Australia, specifically on an island within Queensland. I expected more from the story's foundation given how it was handled onscreen; possibly a result of missteps in the directing. The actors deliver convincing portrayals, which is a definite strength. There were some plot inconsistencies that I struggled to reconcile. Apparently, the film draws its inspiration from a short story considered quite impressive. It seems the movie missed the mark somewhere along the way. Even after several days have passed since seeing it, the film has failed to leave any lasting impression.
