The new Spider-Man film, *Spider-Man: Homecoming*, doesn’t measure up to the earlier films directed by Sam Raimi, and it's also not on par with *Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse*. Essentially, *Homecoming* is just Marvel bringing Spider-Man into their shared universe of movies, and in that respect, it succeeds. Tom Holland does a solid job as Peter Parker; he’s one of the first actors who actually looks like a teenager. Marisa Tomei's portrayal of Aunt May is surprisingly stylish and alluring, something I wouldn’t have anticipated. Michael Keaton delivers an impressive performance as Vulture, who stands out as a particularly compelling antagonist within the MCU. The dynamic between Tony Stark and Peter Parker is decent, but it could have been stronger. It seems like they didn't put enough effort into fleshing out these characters properly. The advanced Spider-Man suit is visually appealing, though it makes the movie feel too much like an *Iron Man* film.
