It’s sad to see the character return in such an underwhelming way. Following his significant appearance in Civil War, this movie seems more like a way to generate revenue than anything else. This version lacks the depth of the earlier films starring Toby Maguire; it feels lifeless. The superhero never faces any genuine danger—it's just a series of events being checked off a list. While I did find parts of it agreeable, I can’t help but wonder if it was truly necessary. The answer is no. The costume and the presence of Iron Man detract from what makes Spiderman appealing. The struggles he has with school, his job, and his personal life are what kept him relatable... He doesn't need a suit from Iron Man or for him to swoop in and rescue him! And it’s baffling that he doesn’t have a spider-sense—he takes hits constantly! Ultimately, the movie is disappointing because Spiderman has now become just another member of Tony’s group when he really should be operating independently.
