It wasn't bad, but I didn’t love it. Tom Holland gave a solid performance and he had a nice rapport with Zendaya, and some of the action sequences were decent enough. However, the storyline itself felt pretty flimsy, and the way they shoehorned it into the Iron Man films just didn't work well; Gyllenhaal’s character arc after his change also stumbled, capped off by an uncomfortable scene where things had to be explained. It wasn’t nearly as enjoyable as *Homecoming*, and it reinforced my feeling that Marvel Studios generally handles these kinds of stories better than Sony does.
