From the very beginning, the movie is a nonstop sequence of action and excitement, and Peter Parker wears four distinct spider costumes—a detail that’s sure to please dedicated fans. Maria Hill, portrayed by Cobie Smulders, returns after barely appearing in ‘Endgame,’ but her presence feels like a missed opportunity; she doesn't really contribute anything substantial. Although the film at last provides us with a Peter and MJ romantic storyline, it feels overly predictable—not due to the characters themselves, but because we already witnessed Peter’s attempts to win over a girl in ‘Homecoming.’ That movie also explored his struggles to juggle school and superhero duties. This is Peter Parker's fifth time experiencing that same cycle. We initially connected with him as an earnest, young boy unexpectedly burdened with extraordinary responsibility and eager to become a hero. He’s already had plenty of chances to prove himself—multiple times, in fact—and now it’s essential for him to evolve, but the film essentially repeats familiar ground. It's important to understand where his journey is headed, rather than simply watching him pretend to be someone else repeatedly.
