Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man really gets what makes the comic book character special, and it remains among my very favorite superhero films. It establishes an ideal structure for how to present a superhero's beginnings, something I enjoy experiencing again roughly once a year. I’ve consistently found myself connecting with Peter Parker as he was growing up. Tobey Maguire and the rest of the cast gave a wonderful portrayal of these characters that, in my opinion, hasn't been surpassed.
