This film didn’t really connect with me. It felt as though a shorter format would have served it better. The characters' actions don't seem to follow any clear reasoning, maybe because it’s supposed to be fantastical? Imagine being stuck somewhere and the authorities arrive, and you can see them – what would you do? Just yelling seems like an odd response. I would have tried to make a really loud sound to get their attention. The high point of the story falls flat; the eventual coming back together doesn't feel earned. They act as if everything is completely ordinary, as though they’re accustomed to this kind of thing. I’m just let down by it, but I will say that the underlying concept is good and intriguing. The problem lies in how it was brought to life.
