This film felt very much like a blend of 'Kick-Ass' and 'Sin City' right from the start, although it’s adapted from a graphic novel. Despite the visual differences—particularly in how the characters appear—the plot itself wasn't remarkable, nor were the action sequences, which are pretty important for this kind of story. I have no idea what the production budget was, but it seems like they had to work with very limited resources; the overall presentation felt passable, though ultimately underwhelming. It’s not a top-tier superhero movie—more like an attempt at a superhero noir. The costumes didn't exactly grab my attention. The actors weren't terrible, but their characters were uninteresting. It was written, produced, and directed by someone relatively obscure, who also created the original graphic novel. He had good material to work with, but contemporary superhero movies really need those unexpected plot developments that this one completely missed. I’ve noticed some positive reviews and ratings out there, but don't let them mislead you; it wasn't a standout experience for me. I wouldn't say it was awful, but I didn’t find it particularly impressive, so think carefully before deciding to watch it. _4.5/10_
