Anthology films usually don’t appeal to me because there inevitably end up being some noticeably inferior segments, and even when they attempt to connect thematically, it often feels disjointed. This one was surprisingly good in that respect; none of the stories felt particularly weak. They all manage to be strange and disturbing, but each with its own distinct flavor, which creates a feeling of shared setting rather than simply presenting a series of unrelated horror tales. It does suffer from a lack of overall unity, and because the narratives are so brief, some feel somewhat incomplete in their storytelling, though they aren’t poorly made. I believe it's worth checking out if that kind of movie appeals to you.
