It’s hard to classify this as a typical romantic movie or a standard love triangle story; I initially assumed that's what it would be about, but then the narrative took an unexpected turn into something genuinely original and inventive, in a way that felt seamless and surprising. The director deserves considerable praise, not only for assembling such a strong cast but also for all aspects of the film’s execution. The writing was exceptional. However, the two leading actresses truly stole the show. Their performances, their characters, and the connection between them are remarkable—I haven't witnessed anything quite like it in a Western production for ages. They were both recognized with Golden Horse awards, which is essentially like the Academy awarding two Best Actress Oscars for one film. It’s an unprecedented honor, but entirely fitting here. Fantastic work, ladies!
