I found 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' to be an enjoyable experience, even if it didn’t entirely live up to its potential. Jonathan Pryce is a definite highlight as Mr. Dark; the part seems perfectly tailored for him. I appreciate his performances in other movies, so my enjoyment of his work here wasn’t unexpected. Jason Robards also does well, though his dialogue occasionally feels indistinct. The younger performers are serviceable, at least. The initial concept is captivating, but the film doesn't quite achieve a sweeping scope, and still managed to keep me engaged. Visually, it's presented in an appealing way; the town itself looks rather nice. It’s good, largely because of Pryce’s contribution.
