This film doesn’t have any huge stars attached, but still manages to feel like something you’d see from major players in the industry. It seems like a really promising start for an up-and-coming director; he wrote it and handled all aspects of production with impressive attention to detail. Unlike many lower-budget comedies, it avoids cheap laughs. Lucy Punch delivers what I consider to be one of her best performances—she truly shines. Daman Wayans has been having a good run recently, appearing in films like 'Let's Be Cops', 'Big Hero 6', and this one, and his career seems to be on an upward trajectory. The plot is quite similar to ‘Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife’, except instead of killing, the goal is to marry. Essentially, Barry’s friends concoct a plan to get him set up with someone so they can be rid of him. The role of Barry was central to the film, and it went to an actor who really understood the part. I don't know him well—I’ve only seen him in a few movies—but he gave a wonderfully relaxed performance. I have a feeling there will be a sequel. It could create some real problems for Barry’s friends, but my worry is that the filmmakers won’t repeat the mistakes of ‘Horrible Bosses 2’. > BARRY is everywhere, in your life, mine and in this film. It's genuinely funny, even though it isn't exactly a mainstream hit. I am concerned that people might overlook this enjoyable movie simply because they don't know about it. That’s why I often review films that are good but not widely known. I doubt you will be disappointed. While the film may not be as great as I claim, it is certainly not bad. Ultimately, a movie’s success depends on what people think, and your opinion counts too. 7/10
