It’s hard to believe Somebody I Used to Know was intended as a romantic comedy, since it really missed the mark on humor. I honestly didn't find anything amusing about any of the jokes the screenwriters tried to include. The conversations felt awkward and cheesy, like they were written badly. The plot moves forward with unbelievable twists; from my perspective as someone who is getting married, the character’s choices are ridiculous. Seriously, who would go so far as to secretly observe an ex and then spend a night out on the town just before their wedding? It didn't seem logical at all. Ultimately, this film simply wasn't enjoyable, which is what I look for in this type of movie. The thought of hearing "I’m So Punk Rock" again makes me want to swear off movies entirely.
