Your enjoyment of this film will likely hinge on your appreciation for Kevin James’ particular style of comedy, similar to what he showcased in “The King of Queens” and other movies. The movie's charm comes from its beautiful Italian settings and the easygoing relationships between the actors, including Kim Coates, Jonathan Roumie, Alyson Hannigan, and Julee Cerda. However, the strongest connection is between James and Nicole Grimaudo (as Gia). Ed Sheeran makes a cameo appearance in the final portion of the film, though he isn’t credited. Despite some odd but funny scenes, there's an underlying pleasantness to everything that happens, leaving you feeling good afterward. While it doesn’t quite reach the heights of “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” or "Zookeeper," in my opinion, I found it more enjoyable than “True Memoirs of an International Assassin,” which was perfectly acceptable but ultimately forgettable.
