The story begins when portals appear, linking different timelines and unleashing powerful creatures against whom ordinary weapons are ineffective. Humanity’s survival now depends on a new group of hunters, categorized by rank from S down to E, reflecting their experience and abilities. We're introduced to "Sung Jinwoo," a young hunter who is also struggling financially and unable to afford his rent. He takes on a mission with a team venturing into a dungeon considered safe for only “C” level hunters. It doesn’t take long before he realizes that the others have ulterior motives, and he confronts a massive creature resembling a giant red-eyed woodlouse. His only chance of survival involves pushing himself to his absolute limit. This is when he finds out that gaining levels grants him increased strength, durability, new weapons, improved agility—and also makes him more attractive! From there, we're shown a series of vividly animated sequences depicting his increasingly challenging battles as he strives to climb the hunter ranks, making both allies and enemies along the way. The narrative moves quickly and feels more engaging than many other action-oriented anime shows, delivering constant excitement from the very beginning. While it does incorporate elements of everyday life, much of this takes place within a game format that offers a variety of thrilling adventures to witness. There’s no real sense of danger, as everything seems designed to lead toward a conclusion not included in this collection of three episodes—though it functions reasonably well on its own compared to some other incomplete cinematic series. A minor drawback is the frequent use of onscreen text which can be difficult to read quickly during viewing, but the encounters with dangerous red knights and intimidating ice bears keep things moving at an enjoyable pace.
