Joaquin Phoenix portrays Snowden believably, or so it seems to me, since my only exposure to the actual Snowden has been through videos and Citizenfour. I’m not certain how accurate the film is regarding the true events, but as with many movies of this kind, the narrative was likely shaped with some embellishments and a particular perspective on what occurred. It proved to be an enjoyable viewing experience, and I appreciated that the coding and technical language featured in the movie were fairly precise and reflective of how things are in reality.
