It’s surprising to see “Bo Duke” – John Schneider – with a career beyond his earlier work, and even more unexpected that it would entail pursuing a yeti through the Canadian wilderness. This yeti seems to have aged remarkably well, including the regrowth of an arm, and is clearly agitated. It's intensely hungry, creating real danger for those attempting to visit this picturesque snowy area. Schneider, playing “Harwood,” discovers his group has become prey, and it falls to him, along with his daughter "Emmy" (Danielle C. Ryan) and friend "Rob" (Paul D. Hunt), to stop the creature before they are all covered in snow. Credit must be given for avoiding excessive music and quick camera movements intended to build suspense; we get a fairly early look at this dangerous animal. However, it isn't particularly frightening, and those who become its meals seem to have brought their fate upon themselves. Thankfully, the writer manages to avoid harm – arguably the most significant misfortune in what is otherwise an overlong, uninspired, and almost humorous effort at horror. If you’re looking for a better yeti film, "The Abominable Snowman" (1957) is worth watching; this one is simply low-quality television that doesn't really warrant much discussion.
