It’s an enjoyable evening film with a strong ensemble cast who seem to be having a good time. "I could have joined the NSA but they found out my parents were married!" The DVD packaging boasts that this is among the most rewarding suspense films ever made! That's obviously marketing exaggeration, and it highlights how those kinds of claims can impact whether or not viewers will be satisfied with what they see. I started this review with a humorous line delivered by Robert Redford because I feel genuinely pleased after watching what’s been described as one of the most suspenseful films ever! (groan). The film incorporates many different elements, covering a lot of ground and featuring performers from various generations who appear to be enjoying their roles. It doesn't have any truly shocking plot developments or extraordinary acting, but it presents a well-crafted and clever script designed for two hours of uncomplicated enjoyment. While there is suspense, and the movie prompts consideration of how technology can serve as both an amazing resource and a dangerous force, primarily it’s something you can watch at home without feeling like your time has been misspent. It earns a 7.5 out of 10. P.S. The conclusion is wonderful; I almost want to give the film a higher score just for the incredulous expressions James Earl Jones makes as the credits roll.
