The crime-fighting team known as "Tobacco Force" seems to be having a hard time getting along. Having spent years battling monstrous foes with abilities derived from cancer-causing chemicals, they're now experiencing difficulties coordinating their efforts. Their boss, “Chef Didier,” who resembles a ferret, recognizes this and sends them to a secluded location for teamwork training. Gathered around a campfire, one member begins sharing his most frightening tale, prompting the others to escalate the storytelling with increasingly unbelievable accounts. Meanwhile, "Nicotine" (Anaïs Demoustier) and "Ammoniaque" (Oulaya Amamra), the two women in the group, are longing for the attention of their exceptionally attractive but unpleasant boss—a character who brings Roland Rat to mind. Initially, the film possesses a certain quirky charm, but after roughly thirty minutes, the humor diminishes, the rhythm slows down, and the narrative loses its direction. While it’s an original concept, evoking occasional comparisons to "Galaxy Quest" (1999), and containing a cautionary message about tobacco use, Quentin Dupieux appears to have lacked sufficient substance for even an eighty-minute film. Nevertheless, it's still potentially enjoyable, offering moments of amusement—though not consistently enough—and perfectly acceptable for viewing on television.
