It was an unpleasant experience that I won't repeat, and I can’t suggest it to anyone else. I found the film truly awful and frustrating to watch, and even though I generally like Anna Faris, she couldn't rescue this script. It feels like her performance only managed to bring it up to the level of badness that it already was. I doubt even people who enjoy marijuana would find anything worthwhile in this movie. Beyond portraying the central character as foolish through an unnecessary incident, the film functions primarily as a lecture against drug use—something most viewers won't appreciate, and I myself am opposed to drugs. The quality of the writing is so low that it seems like the writers were being forced to work under duress, clumsily employing "Chekov’s gun" in an entirely pointless manner. Nothing that happens connects to anything else because her actions are simply attributed to her supposed intoxication. Even the conclusion feels tacked on and predictable as a “drugs are bad” message, resulting in a deeply unsatisfying resolution. I couldn't even appreciate any humor derived from how helpless she seemed, despite disliking her character, and the escalating absurdity suggests it was penned by Saturday Night Live apprentices. Instead of subjecting yourself to this, watch films like "Scary Movie," "Harold and Kumar," "How High," or “Dazed and Confused"—or any other movie about marijuana—but definitely avoid "Requiem for a Dream" or "Trainspotting"; heroin is harmful.
