I enjoyed seeing this film yesterday; I hadn't heard of it before, but my kids picked it out for our evening viewing. Coming after that disappointing Free Guy movie, it was a welcome change. This is what a family film should be like—fun, full of adventure, fantasy, and imaginative realms (which are actually present in the story). It’s suitable for viewers of many ages. Most importantly, it avoids woke themes, political messages, and overt agendas. Predictably, critics on that website Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 40% negative rating, while audiences rated it 85% positive, which only made my experience more pleasant. The plot is quite good, and I thought Jason Momoa was great as Flip the dream being. Some people draw comparisons to Jack Sparrow, and that’s not entirely inaccurate. It's a fun adventure moving between reality and the dream world. The real-world scenes occasionally felt somewhat dull and dreary, but the dream world more than compensated for that. The conclusion matched what I would expect from a family movie—a generally upbeat resolution. It was enjoyable to watch Philip change once he recovered his dreams and all the memories from those experiences.
