I'm generally okay with films that drop you right into the story without much setup. It’s fine by me when they just say, "Werewolves and ghosts exist, get used to it," and expect you to figure out the details yourself if you want to know what makes their werewolves and ghosts unique. That part of _Slice_ really clicked with me. However, there were other elements that didn't quite land. It felt like watching a few separate installments of a television series—a show where we missed the beginning and end. The performances from roughly half of the cast weren’t particularly strong either. And it had so many plot points left unresolved. You know, all those things that usually make for a good movie. _Final rating:★★½ - There was plenty here I liked, but ultimately it didn't quite come together._
