Skyfall stood up well as a film in its own terms, but among the Bond films, it became one of my absolute favorites. It seemed that, unlike Quantum of Solace, they really invested time in developing this narrative, and the result was satisfying. A point I found compelling was the portrayal of Bond aging and the realization that being an MI6 agent isn't a career you can maintain indefinitely. This leads me to speculate whether future installments might delve into similar subjects. It’s accurate that the final third of Skyfall felt quite detached from what one typically expects in a Bond film, which I believe is why I enjoyed it so much. The Daniel Craig films have consistently offered a fresh perspective on James Bond, and Skyfall continued this approach. As mentioned, it was an excellent movie; everything was handled well, as you would anticipate. I’m hoping Mendes will be given the opportunity to direct the next one.
