This is an agreeable superhero movie from Disney. *Sky High* has a somewhat shaky start, with some awkward scenes in the beginning, but it turns into a generally enjoyable film afterward. Kurt Russell’s performance stood out for me; I suspect that's the one I'll recall most easily, though everyone involved does a commendable job – they were well-chosen, and none of them disappoint. The special effects are impressive, and there are some funny jokes sprinkled throughout. The basic idea is straightforward and fairly easy to anticipate, but that doesn’t prevent it from being an amusing watch. I wonder if it might have been more successful as a television series? There's talk that they may be considering that option, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it happens. It’s worth seeing.
