While these movies tend to follow a predictable formula of chases, stunts, and humor, they don't offer anything fresh beyond different settings and performers. The inclusion of Russian characters felt like a novelty that ultimately fell flat, which is ironic given that it’s intended as a comedy. Those who are acquainted with Jackie Chan’s earlier Hollywood collaborations will likely recognize approximately ninety percent of what’s on display here; the remaining portion simply requires viewing to confirm this observation. The story involves a Hong Kong police officer pursuing vengeance for his partner's death, leading him to locate and protect an American con artist entangled with Russian gangsters—he possesses information crucial to bringing down the head of a criminal organization. Their travels through Mongolia form the core of the narrative. It’s clear this film was created primarily for audiences in China, so those without access to yuan might want to skip it. I would honestly say that Renny Harlin has made worse movies, but Jackie Chan is almost enough reason to give it a watch—though you've undoubtedly seen him in stronger roles. Johnny Knoxville’s performance was passable at best, and the supporting cast doesn’t particularly impress. It’s more enjoyable to re-experience films like 'Shanghai Noon' or 'Rush Hour' than this one; I can’t recommend it. _4/10_
