Skinamarink left me feeling quite irritated. It does manage to create some truly unsettling horror moments. There’s a persistent sense of looking for something in the murky visuals, though you hardly ever discover it. The conclusion particularly disappointed me; it seems like there are roughly seven fairly good endings presented, and I simply wanted them to choose one already. At several points, I was practically yelling for it to just finish. Regrettably, what I experienced most while watching Skinamarink was boredom rather than dread.
