This film delivers on action, foregoing the reliance on elaborate digital effects that have become commonplace in many recent Hollywood productions. It’s filled with violence and bloodshed, and some moments stretch believability, but it ultimately proves to be superior to much of what has come out of Hollywood over the past ten years. There's no apparent attempt at incorporating contemporary social or political messaging. I would recommend seeing it for ninety minutes of uncomplicated entertainment, free from any overt political or social agenda.
